On the morning of January 15th a group of new homebrewers gathered near downtown Memphis to try their hand at making their first extract homebrew (and several others came out to watch) while Bluff City Brewers answered questions and provided hands-on instruction.
Andy Griffin, owner of Cotton Boll Catering on Vance Ave, offered his full catering kitchen along with use of propane burners and boil pots for the day. It was a great event, everyone left happy with their brew and we have learned all the fermentations are going well.
It goes to show that even a Newbie can make their own beer, no matter the skill level or experience.
Keep an eye out for an All Grain Newbie Brew Day, coming soon!
